My name is Louise Dawson and I am the founder of Evening Star Celebrancy. I am a trained celebrant with many years of experience supporting people at difficult points in their lives.
If you have received a terminal diagnosis or have entered into the last stages of your life journey I can stand beside you and help you plan, communicate and celebrate what is most important about your life as well as officiating at a final ceremony.
If you are currently supporting a family member in this situation or are recently bereaved, I’m also very happy to hear from you to discuss how I can help.
I am a trained celebrant and can organise and conduct ceremonies and services. Some people decide they want to have a ‘living celebration’ whilst they are coming towards the end of their life. I can create meaningful ceremony rituals and keepsakes for yourself and family members.
Other people want to plan their own funeral and design their own ceremony. I can offer support for any ceremony that you feel is right for you. Some couples decide to have a marriage ceremony, or a vow renewal when one of them is nearing the end of their life. It is about what feels right for you.
Following a terminal diagnosis you may want support and assistance with exploring and understanding your options. I can assist you to navigate this including attending appointments with you, supporting you as you make decisions about medical and care options, supporting you to communicate your wishes and priorities and supporting you to access legal assistance around future planning options if needed.
I can assist you with communication between family members and support you in clearly stating your wishes.
You may have information you wish to share and want assistance with this. You may have wishes you want communicated at a later date. You may want support in managing or resolving family conflict. I can help with this.
Advocacy and support bespoke to your situation: I can provide assistance in ensuring your voice is heard in all matters concerning you. I can ensure your will and preferences are at the centre of your situation.
I work alongside medical services to ensure you are at the heart of your journey. My job is to help you express your wishes and ensure that they are carried out.
